Travellers Guide to Dubai

Dubai is the second largest of the seven Arab emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates - the others are Abu Dhabi, the capital city, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Facing the Persian Gulf, the city of Dubai straddles the Dubai Creek, a natural inlet which divides the city into the Deira and Bur Dubai districts.

By the turn of the 20th century Dubai was a sufficiently prosperous port attracting settlers from Iran, India and Baluchistan, while the souk on Deira side was thought to be the largest on the coast, with some 350 shops. The facilities for trade and free enterprise were enough to make Dubai a natural haven for merchants who left Lingah, on the Persian coast, after the introduction of high customs? Settlers were mostly of distant Arab origin and Sunni, unlike most Persians, and naturally looked across to the Arab shore of the Gulf finally making their homes in Dubai. Theymost Persians, and naturally looked across to the Arab shore of the Gulf finally making their homes in Dubai. They continued to trade with Lingah, however, as do many of the dhows in Dubai Creek today, and they named their district Bastakiya, after the Bastak region in southern Persia.

Oil was discovered in Dubai some 40 years ago. But it has not relied on this alone and has reinvested into creating a modern infrastructure and amenities and developing as a strong trading centre and tourist resort.

The UAE as a whole has an open economy with high income per head and a sizable annual trade surplus. It has a sub-tropical, arid climate with average temperatures ranging from about 24 degrees in January to 41 degrees in July.

An explosion of exotic property developments in Dubai was signalled by a 2002 Royal decree permitting foreigners to own property. Previously only UAE nationals were allowed the privilege. However, the problem remained that there was no federal law recognising freehold tenure.

Property laws are being developed but currently there remains a fuzziness about the value of Dubai freeholds (which come with a residency permit) whose value relies partly on the international trading credentials and good name of the country rather than enforceable law.

Even so the Dubai building boom has attracted investors from across the world, partly due to its tax incentives but also because of its climate and luxury lifestyle.

Since 2002 property prices have been increasing by rates as high as 25 per cent per annum. However, prices remain low by UK standards. Meanwhile rents are predicted to continue to rise at the same rate as property prices - although landlords should note that there are no eviction laws in Dubai.

Hawaii Travel Deals - Traveling Cheaply to the Hawaiian Islands

Planning a family vacation this year? How about visiting the Hawaiian Islands? The cost can be rather expensive, but there are deals available out there so you can have some fun for less. Exhaust all your options to find the best deal.

Several sites on the Internet are dedicated to offering
travel deals to customers. Before you go to the airline websites, check out Orbitz, Travelocity, Priceline, and Expedia. These sites offer deals on airfare, hotel accommodations, and rental cars. When you decide on the dates for travel, plug them into the search parameters on each website to see what they have to make the trip less of a financial drain.

At Priceline.com, folks looking for good prices on their travel can bid on fares. Let them know what you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay. Continue to check back to the site for deals or have them email you when something comes up in your price range.

In addition to Priceline.com, shoppers can look for airfare and hotel deals at travel auctions. Travel actions allow customers to save money by outbidding other shoppers. You can check the listings for airfare and hotel packages, deals on rental cars, timeshares, B &B's, and other trip particulars. You can come across deals from the simple to the very unique.

Each site has their rules about membership and bidding, so read the fine print. Some, like Luxury Link are free to join, but you must be a member in order to bid on travel deals. People that want a premium luxury accommodations and airfare for less can find it here.

There is more than one type of auction. In single auctions, the highest bidder is the one that wins the deal or whatever you are bidding for. Then there are Best Shot auctions. Here, more than one of the same item is up for bid. The winners are those that come in with the highest bid. Then each bidder that wins pays the lowest of the winning bids.

A Dutch auction is similar to the Best Shot auction. When more than one of the same item is up for bid, the two highest winners get the items but only pay the lowest price of the day for that item. This means that the winner who bid the lowest price sets the price for both winners.

Travel auctions are worth looking into but be careful. If the deal sounds or looks to good to be true on paper, it probably is. There are many unscrupulous people out there who want your money. Read the fine print so you don't' get taken for a ride by a cheat.

Hotels on the islands can be pretty expensive. If price is not the object but amenities, here are some suggestions for hotels to check out. On the island of Maui, there is the Grand Wailea hotel. This establishment is not for people without deep pockets. The prices start at $575 per night and can run as high as $3,200. For a modest hotel with great service, go to the Mana Kai hotel or the Napili Surf. The former runs around $133 per night, while the latter offers rooms for $94 a night.

Prices on Kauai are in the same range and higher for premium accommodations. The Princeville Resort will serve you with style for a mere $565 to $5,500. The Hyatt is a bit more reasonable with rooms starting at $430. For families, the Kaua'i Palms Hotel has rooms for $65 a night. Perfect for those who don't want to break the bank with their hotel bill.

The Big Island has some great choices for those travelers. Choose from the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel with prices starting at $306 a night. There is a private beach as a perk of your stay. The Royal Kona Resort offers rooms near the shopping district for $85 a night. To save money, vacationers can always book a hotel room on one Hawaiian Island and island hop for day trips.

How To Enjoy Adventures In Bali

Bali is to everyone not only known for it’s indigenous culture, people, but also known for it’s nature, i.e.: magnificent mountain, alluring sea, beaches, pristine forest, waterfall, hot spring, rice fields, flora, fauna, traditional villages, etc are the great asset that Bali has to offer. It attracts the tourists to come to Bali especially to those who are fond of travelling. They like to go to the places where they can recharge their souls, unwind, release the tension from work, and simply enjoy what life has to offer.

While enjoying the great view, you may thoroughly enjoy the adventures in Bali through joining adventure activities that available in Bali, such as: horse riding, elephant ride, quad & buggy ride, bungy jumping, buggy drive, village trekking, forest & mountain trekking, cycling, hiking, rafting, sea cruise, land cruise, scuba/diving, snorkelling, water sports, land tours, golf, and so on.

Here’s a list of tips for adventure travellers, whether they want adventures that are more inclined to wilderness or just the typical family adventure most people would love to experience:

1. It is best that people should know what the type of travel adventure they are getting into. Adventure travel may provide the kind of adrenalin rush most adventurers long to experience every time they get out of their territory. It is the feeling of newness and uncertainty on what will happen that gives them the satisfaction and gratification that they need.

However, it is still important for them to know what they are doing. After all, travelling always involve risky activities especially to those who are set to gain adventure experience.

2. Have a fixed set on the adventure travel destination. Because of the vastness of locations and adventure locations available today, people might get confused on what areas are best for their adventure travel.

One good tip is to choose a location that can baffle those adventurous minds and mystify the eyes with great mystery.

As much as new and exotic places can be adventurous, it is still best to stick to the classical and typical locations. It would be really risky to try areas, which no one has ever dared to go to.

3. Consider the budget. Adventure travelling can be pretty expensive especially when it entails going to places that entails great adventure packages.

So, it would be better for adventure travellers to shop around first and compare prices before deciding on what kind of adventure travel to take.

Indeed, adventure travel can be one of the most exciting and gratifying travel one can experience. However, with the exotic places, wilderness, and virgin forests that one might consider, it is a must that every travel must know the proper way how to protect themselves and what to do first before trying the place out.

After all I can say that Bali for adventurer is worthy place to visit.
